Adi & Mathew
Are Hoping to Adopt a Baby
dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We are Mathew and Adi, and from the bottoms of our hearts, thank you for taking this time to learn a little about us. The dream of becoming parents is a thread that has run through our entire relationship—it was something we connected over on our very first date. We both come from close-knit families where a strong sense of community, unconditional support, and loud, joyful love were the foundations of our upbringing. We are so excited to bring this into our home, to create a life for our child filled with learning, adventure, and the unwavering belief that they can achieve anything they set their mind to.
We live in a quiet, peaceful suburb, in a house that is already filled with love. We dream of filling these rooms with the sounds of bedtime stories, family meals, and laughter. We recognize that this decision is not an easy one. We honor every choice you’re making for your baby, and we hold immense respect for you.
If chosen, we would raise your child in a home full of love, laughter, and support—one where they are encouraged to be themselves and always know how cherished they are. We would ensure they grow up understanding their story and the brave, loving woman who gave them life. Thank you for the profound gift of considering us and for the care you’re taking in shaping your baby’s future. We are truly grateful.
Our Love Story
Our story began in 2021, matched by an app but connected by something deeper from the very start. While we were a bit nervous at first, we quickly found ourselves talking with ease and comfort. We later walked along the beachfront, looking out at the starry sky, and talked about things that truly matter. It was a conversation that set the tone for everything to come.
After that night, our relationship unfolded naturally and joyfully. We spent time getting to know each other’s lives, families, and friends, falling more in love with each other every day. Our desire to build a family of our own grew stronger.
Years later, we made the decision to get married and buy our first home. At that point, there was no doubt in either of our minds about the future we were building together. Since then, every choice we’ve made—from our careers to the way we’ve set up our home—has been with the goal of creating a stable, loving, and joyful environment for our future children.

Our Home & Neighborhood
We live in a wonderful, family-oriented suburb in Illinois. Our neighborhood is the embodiment of a classic American community, with tree-lined streets and homes filled with families. It’s a common sight to see kids riding bikes and neighbors chatting on their front lawns.
Our two American Bullies, Nami and Jamie, are our first babies, whom we’ve raised since they were puppies. Going through the journey of potty training, discipline, and carefully socializing them has been a rewarding preview of parenthood. Nami is incredibly mischievous, caring, and intelligent. Jamie is our gentle guardian. He always wants to be included in whatever we're doing and is an excellent, watchful guard dog.

Our Family & Friends
Family is our cornerstone, and for us, that means a rich tapestry of cultures and connections. Mathew’s third-generation Puerto Rican heritage gives our family its levity, fun, and its deep appreciation for strong, close-knit bonds. From Adi’s upbringing in Darjeeling, India, we carry forward the beautiful traditions, serene spirit, and unwavering commitment to respect and personal growth, a blending of his Indian and Nepali cultures. This foundation is strengthened by our very large, extended families, where siblings and cousins are our best friends, and grandparents are already dreaming of spoiling their future grandchild. Our life is filled with gatherings and traditions that honor all these roots.
Our chosen family is just as important. We have a close-knit group of friends, many of whom are young parents like we hope to be. We've been there for the births of their children and have firsthand experience with the joys and challenges of infant years, from diaper changes to late-night feedings. These friends are our village—the people we turn to for advice, support, and celebration. They represent the caring community that is ready to embrace your child with open arms.

Our Cultural Heritage
Our home is already a beautiful blend of cultures, and this has directly shaped our most deeply held values: a profound respect for diversity, a love of lifelong learning, and the belief that our differences really do make us stronger.
We honor these values daily. Our shelves are filled with books from countless authors and perspectives. Our kitchen is a place where Puerto Rican spices share space with the flavors of India. For us, it’s a conscious effort to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged and different ways of life are celebrated.
